The Law Firm Network (LFN), an association of independent law firms, among which Abreu & Marques, with members in more than 52 countries and with the purpose of enabling legal service to cross-border issues, had its annual meeting in Budapest, Hungary, on the 13 to the 15 of October 2022.

With the attendance of lawyers from various diverse jurisdictions, the annual meeting focused on such subjects as the global economic situation, the emergence of new specialized areas of assistance, such as information technology, or the adaptation of labour legislation to the continued context of a changing world.

The partner, Afonso Barroso, was keynote speaker with the theme of the Portuguese contribution to globalisation and its impact.

The next LFN annual meeting is scheduled for New York, USA, from 26 to 30 of April 2023.
