The AMSA lawyers, Afonso Barroso and Cidália Conceição, attended the Annual Conference of the International Bar Association (IBA) held in Rome, during the first week of October 2018. The IBA, is largest international association of lawyers in the world, and had, in Rome, in excess of 7 000 attendees, the biggest attendance ever of such a forum. Themes from all areas of the law were addressed. The speaker of reference was Romano Prodi, former Italian prime minister and former president of the European Commission.
