Born in 1976, she has a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association.

She has been working in the area of industrial property since 1998, at José Motta Veiga - Agentes Oficiais de Propriedade Industrial, advising and representing national and international clients in all matters relating to intellectual property and technology law, including licensing, namely unfair competition, copyright, trade mark law. Her practice also covers e-commerce, digitalisation and contract and consumer law. Before joining the Abreu & Marques team, she worked as an IP/IT/Commercial lawyer at José Motta Veiga's law firm and, prior to that, she founded the start-up MyNurse in 2015 and was the first Portuguese to be selected for the XLerateHealth Acceleration Programme in 2017 and received certification in Lean Startup from the University of Lousiville, College of Business in 2017. She won the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation's Caregiver Prize Award 2018 in Michigan and was voted Health Care Hero in 2019 by Business First (US) for innovation in the sector. She attended a postgraduate course in Children, Family and Succession Law at the Lisbon Law School (2020) when she returned to Portugal.
